
Quintet Bio
The members of the Festival City Symphony Brass Quintet
have experience playing in a wide range of musical settings.
Individually, they have performed with such ensembles as
the Louisville Orchestra, the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra,
the Philadelphia Concerto Soloists, the Eastman Wind Ensemble,
and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. They have played
under such noted conductors as Zubin Mehta, Sir Georg Solti,
Arthur Fiedler, Eugene Ormandy, Riccardo Muti, Andre Previn,
Klaus Tennstedt, and Robert Shaw. Their musical education
includes university degrees from the Eastman School of Music,
and the Curtis Institute. They have backed up stars like Melissa
Manchester, Frank Sinatra Jr., Henri Mancini, Johnny Mathis,
Three Dog Night, and Moody Blues, as well as performed with
numerous touring Broadway shows. Locally, members have
performed with nearly every ensemble in the area, including the
Milwaukee Symphony, Madison Symphony, Wisconsin Chamber
Orchestra, Waukesha Symphony, Rockford Symphony, Racine
Symphony, Kenosha Symphony, Fox Valley Symphony, Bel Canto
Chorus, Bach Chamber Choir, Lutheran A Cappella, Milwaukee
Choristers, Milwaukee Ballet, Present Music, and the Milwaukee
Chamber Orchestra. As church musicians, members have played
numerous wedding ceremonies, and religious services in many
area churches, including the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist,
the Basilica of St. Josaphat, and St. Robert in Shorewood, and
have played for Milwaukee’s Archbishop on many occasions.
